Privacy Policy

Overview

eyetin.com ("we", "us") is an informational website. We don't offer accounts, we never ask you to upload images to us, and we do not sell your personal information. This policy explains what data is collected when you visit, who collects it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Information you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to respond and to fix any issue you report, and we delete correspondence when it's no longer needed.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site — for example, which pages are read, roughly where visitors are located (country/city level), the type of device and browser, and how visitors arrived. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies. We use this information in aggregate to improve our guides. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records technical information such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request, for security and to keep the site running.

Advertising and cookies

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this and/or other sites on the internet.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown a consent message, and advertising and analytics cookies are used only according to the choices you make there. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site will still work.

Affiliate links

Some links on this site are affiliate links (for example, to Social Catfish). If you click one, the partner or its affiliate network may set a cookie so that we're credited if you sign up. This doesn't change the price you pay. We don't receive any personal information about you from affiliate partners — only aggregate reports of referrals.

Third-party sites

Our guides link to third-party tools and websites, including reverse image search engines. When you upload an image or enter information on another site, that site's privacy policy applies, not ours. Several of our guides explain what popular tools say they do with uploaded images — review the provider's policy before uploading anything sensitive.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Residents of California and other U.S. states with privacy laws may have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising; you can exercise this through the opt-out options above or by contacting us. Because we hold very little personal information directly, most data relating to your visit is held by Google; you can manage it through your Google account and the links above.

Children

eyetin.com is a general-audience site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our site or the law changes. The "last updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised.
